I just had a chance to check out my page from an old desktop at work. The system is theoretically running at 65k colors, but at 800x600, you have to scroll to the right to see the most of the linkbar on that side, and the dark colors on this not-so-great monitor make the whole page nearly freakin’ impossible to read.

By contrast, Instapundit with it’s simple black text on white background is easy to read (albeit a little blurry from the crappy monitor). Same with the Movable Type windows.

So. I’m suddenly overcome with doubt about the page coloration. Does anyone else have a hard time reading this? Do I need to brighten up the font colors to make them more legible on the dark background, or swap the background and font colors to get the easy to see black on light?

Or just leave it, because this is just the worry of a control freak? I crave validation! Love me!
