Forgetting for a moment that I love dipping nachos, and forgetting for a moment that I dislike plugging products that will fail or succeed despite my interest, I still have to point out that Tostitos Scoops are really good chips, even if you don’t have anything to dip.

Really good. Damn. Or maybe I’m hungry.

You have to understand, I’ve been burned in this product endorsement fire before, so I’m leery of expressing my approval.

Does anyone in Denver remember McDonald’s Waffle sticks? The blueberry ones? They were in Denver (as a “test market”, I found out later) about 2 years ago.

Ambrosia. Food of the gods, this stuff. Not messy either — the syrup was sort of jellified and cooked into the waffle squares (shut up, most really good food sounds gross when you describe it). I sang the praises of these things to everyone I knew, and even to people I didn’t.

I found out on my honeymoon that you couldn’t GET them anywhere but here, and by they time I got back to Denver… they were gone.

For two sweet, golden months, there was one McDonald’s product that I didn’t personally think was a steaming pile of crap, and then it was over.

So you can understand why I don’t want to mention these chips.

(“Test market”. Hmmph. Should call it a “tease market”. Bastards.)
