Well, I can’t say it’s been a busy morning.
Last night was game night, and the group was over for the first time in just about a month (people were taking vacations or their cars were breaking down — a real mess), and between the chit-chat and me actually having something written up to DO last night, we ended up going until about 1 in the morning or so.
It’s nothing compared to some of the old college games, but for a bunch of old farts… not too bad. Not to be repeated anytime soon (at least not for this group — I’ll be out at ACNW next weekend, where I sort of think long nights will be the norm. I’m considering packing an air mattress in the suitcase so I can crash where ever I need to; I don’t want to make Jon ferry my ass around at or after midnight.)
So this morning — a pretty late morning, following by cereal and getting caught up on Farscape with Jackie. I’m picking at my page layout a little bit, because Dave has me all envious that he figured out how to get his page to load faster — my big Tables are slow and cumbersome, but really the only way to make it look the way I’d like. I could adopt a different effect that’s much faster, at the cost of loosing the look. No thanks.
What’s on the docket today? Shopping, both for a new pair of jeans and for a patch-kit for my other pair.
While we were playing last night, several of the players were making jokes about my jeans’ crotch and how to patch it up. Robert (who rarely reads “the Blarg thing”) was confused, and somewhat concerned by everyone’s interest in my groin — they explained the comments, and then explained that it’s impossible to really know what’s going on in my life without staying abreast of this blog. I’m flattered that there is anyone who would want to.
Jackie was talking about one of her co-worker friends (Hi, Traveler!) checking out the page “once or twice daily”; I joked that Trav was more interested in the page than she was.
Her reply, “Honey, I know you. I don’t need the flippin’ page.”
Indeed. Indeed.
