1. I don’t have a flag to put on the house this Friday.

2. Apparently, no one my age had one either: Target, K-mart, Walmart, etc. are sold out throughout the Denver metro area. Doesn’t seem like the sort of thing one should borrow from others.

In my defense, this is the first real house I’ve ever owned, and there hasn’t been a national holiday yet (except for the one going on while we were still unpacking). It’s all just one more reason for our neighbors to kick us out of the HOA.
