Rather, yesterday’s Class.

In public restrooms, there is (now) a tendency to mount a plastic plate on the inside of the door that displays the ‘cleaning scedule’ — the design is apparently supposed to be pseudo-whiteboard. People who run businesses that consider these things necessary should ponder a few facts.

- It is more disconcerting to see that plastic plate mounted there, untouched, than it is to not see it at all.
- It is worse to see the plate untouched, but very obviously dirty.

People-watching between training sessions today
If you can acurately describe yourself with the size designation “macho”, don’t order food with the same descriptor. Please.

On a related note, who migrated to Earth directly from the surface of Mercury recently and decided that people need a 52 oz. “single-serving” beverage to cool off? The fucking thing should have a life guard, not a twisty straw.

I can’t shut up
I’m good at teaching. Obviously, my co-worker is as well. Still, I can’t butt out when he’s the one doing the talking during a class; I have to go outside or somewhere else in the building — anywhere out of earshot — otherwise, I’m constantly interrupting or adding stuff he was about to mention anyway.

This ‘fix’ for the problem is what programmers would call a work-around: problem is not solved, but it is also not encountered.

If this Beta doesn’t go well, our Gen. Manager will probably be asked to resign. Determination of whether or not the install goes well is mostly laid on the positive or negative reaction of our client, and their reaction will be built from the positive or negative reaction of the manager of the store who’s running the beta. So, in a weird way, the manager of a Taco Bell has control over whether or not our software company’s GM gets to keep his job.

The sad thing is, fast-food managers are so irrationally self-important (based off their experience as the big fish in a very small pond), that the irony of the:00 AMount of control they have in this situation would be lost on the manager in question.
