With the new version of Internet Explorer (v6), you don’t get 404 errors or ‘not found’ messages — IE 6 directs you to the MSN search engine instead.

Sad for two reasons: first, Microsoft doesn’t think they get enough of the Internet, so they have to put a move on the 14 million 404 errors that occur per day. Second, MSN has got to be the worst search engine ever. People get directed to my page by MSN for some of the most assinine stuff; why on earth would I be the leading page on a search for “Lightbulbs”?
