When the world turns another day past me, I go outside and watch the clouds fade in above the mountains and begin their creep in over the city. Like the mountains, they are blue gray and lit on the edges by the refraction of the departing sun. I have seen many, many sunsets in my life, and enjoyed most of them.

I think I could spend my final day on this earth doing nothing but this: sitting on my porch, watching the clouds get closer while the sun gets further away, if only I could spend that day with you.
